Apparatus Pilates Teacher Training
The comprehensive 200-hr Apparatus Pilates Teacher Training program certifies students in the Physicalmind Pilates method. Students will learn how to teach the original classical exercise protocols on the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel, Arc Barrel and Magic Circle. Through the use of the equipment students will learn and understand the basic benefits of the apparatus of strengthening and lengthening muscles, developing core stability for outer mobility, balance, control, kinesthetic awareness and the mind-body connection.
Within the Apparatus Pilates training course, there is an emphasis on learning the goals of the exercises, basic biomechanical breath and movement patterns, and postural alignment analysis. The development of verbal cueing and imagery, hands-on cueing, effective communication and observation skills will also be addressed. As well, deeper skills of modifications for specific body types, postural issues and conditions and correcting for safety and effectiveness are explored. Client motivation and exercise sequencing will be examined for effective program design in private and group environment style classes.
Course hours include:
120 hours of class time with an instructor.
80 hours of observation, practice teaching, self-practice and homework assignments.

Course Requirements: You must have completed Mat Pilates Certification as well as at least 10 classes on the reformer. You will also need to learn the study material provided by the Physicalmind Institute.
